Join MPRG Director Jane Alexanderfor a conversation over lunch with STEEL: art design architecture exhibition artists, Geoffrey Nees and Maureen Faye-Chauhan.
An interdisciplinary artist, Geoffrey Nees has transformed his studio-based paper practice into large-scale architectural forms. In 2005 Nees was commissioned to design the facade of the Australian Pavilion for the World Expo, held in Japan. This commission gave Nees the taste for working with steel.
Maureen Faye-Chauhan is an Australian contemporary jewellery artist. Inspired by the natural world, Maureen's fine, laser-cut steel adornments are derived from the fundamental geometric patterns found within natures building blocks.
