Queensland Art Gallery & Art Gallery of Modern Art

The 9th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art (APT9)

The hugely ambitious APT series returns to QAGOMA this summer. Overflowing with colour and life, this free exhibition presents a unique mix of creativity and cross-cultural insight.

Explore a number of cutting-edge installations, paintings, sculptures, photographs and video from emerging and senior artists, together with leading works from Indigenous communities and artists.

Featuring more than 80 artists and groups from over 30 countries, APT9 challenges conventional definitions of contemporary art by asking us to consider its relationship to shifting social structures across the region.

Alongside the exhibition will be 8 creative hands-on experiences for kids, a thought-provoking cinema program, daily tours and a jam-packed 3 day Summer Festival with artist workshops, performances and live music (18–20 Jan).
