S.D. Harvey Short Story Award

Kill Your Darlings (KYD) and the Australian Crime Writers Association (ACWA) have announced a partnership to publish the winner of the S.D. Harvey Short Story Award, a celebrated prize within the Ned Kelly Awards.

2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the prestigious Ned Kelly Awards, celebrating the best in Australian crime writing.

Established in honour of the late true crime writer and television producer Sandra Harvey, the winner of the S.D. Harvey Short Story Award will receive a $1000 cash prize and publication in KYD’s Spring issue.

Submissions to the award open from 16 February to 15 June 2015 with the winner to be announced at the Ned Kelly Awards in Melbourne during the Melbourne Writers Festival.
