About the Course
Join artists Jade Kennedy and Bailey Sharp for one of our unique Cleverman inspired comic making workshops.
Discover the secrets behind Ryan Griffen and Wolfgang Bylsma's original Cleverman comic with a guided tour of the Cleverman exhibition before learning the theory, tools and tips to create your own comic art from two of Australia's most distinctive comic art voices.
Jade Kennedy incorporates his Mutti Mutti, Tatti Tatti, Waddi Waddi and Noongar people heritage in his art work and uses both traditional illustration as well as digital tools in his work.
Bailey Sharp, co-editor of the Lifted Brow, uses humour garnered from everyday situations to create unique and hilariously relatable panel art and cartoons.
We'll delve into some cultural mythology to inspire your own characters and comic stories and experiment with some digital and traditional comic making techniques.
No drawing or comic creation experience necessary!
